Everything new patients need to know before undertaking Mohs surgery and skin treatment plus other procedures and skin checks - Perth wide and throughout the South West.
Getting yourself ready - understanding what’s involved
At Oxford Day Surgery and Dermatology, the comfort of our patients is of paramount importance. While our highly skilled and trained staffed will ensure your experience is the safest and most comfortable possible, it’s a good idea to get an understanding of what your procedure will involve.
Whether you’re coming in for a routine skin check in Perth or Bunbury, require Mohs surgery or are receiving any of our specialised skin treatments, browsing through our pages will help you become aware of what to expect. That way there are no surprises when you come for a consultation or surgery, and your experience can be as smooth and comfortable as possible.
What happens in a pre-treatment process?
Typically, you will first have an initial consultation with one of our dermatologists to discuss your treatment plan. Your treatment plan will be devised and agreed upon.
What happens when surgery is booked?
Your doctor will ensure you know everything you need to about your surgery so that you are comfortable and informed.
The surgery booking and related processes will then be taken care of by our administration team, who will:
Book the surgery
Explain paperwork, fees and health insurance cover.
Our experienced and highly trained nurses will take care of you during surgery as well as after surgery (wound care, stitch removal).
