As we are a Private Practice Bulk Billing is not available.

In order to receive Medicare benefit payments referrals must be up to date. It is the patient’s responsibility to obtain an appropriate referral. No indefinite referrals are accepted. Most GP referrals last 12 months but specialist referrals last only 3 months. Our staff will advise you when your referral requires updating.

Doctor's Consultation Fees and Minor Procedure Fees

Fees are always disclosed before your appointment. Staff and doctors will discuss any additional fees at the time of your consultation or minor procedure, including any out of pocket expense you may be required to pay.

Doctor's Surgical Procedure Fees

Patients with Hospital Private Health cover my have an out of pocket expense on the surgical fee for non-cosmetic procedures. This is totally dependant on your Health Fund and the agreement we have in place with that health fund. Our staff will advise of any surgical out of pocket fees at the time your sugery is booked and Financial Consent is produced.

Patients without Private Health insurance (i.e. uninsured patients) will pay an additional out of pocket expense on top of their Medicare refund.

Theatre and Day Surgery Procedure Fees

In addition to the surgical fee there is an additional fee for the use of the Day Surgery.

Patients with private health insurance may be fully covered or have an out of pocket payment on top of these fees, depending on your fund and level of cover. Some policies have an “excess” payment to reduce premiums. If you have an “excess” this needs to be paid first before any claim is made to the Private Health fund. Our staff will assist you to work out the cost of all fees and out of pocket expenses before surgery.

Patients without Private Health Fund cover must pay the full Theatre fees before the surgery and will receive no refund.
